You got the Silver

It's one of those hot days where the whole world seems to slow down. Even the breeze is warm. I spent the afternoon listening to the Rolling Stones (it is Mick Jagger's birthday...) and drinking Orangina on my front steps. A perfectly lazy day in the city.

Blue Penguins

I took one of my classes to the New England Aquarium today. I am always enamored with the penguins, especially the Little Blues (eudyptula minor).

When I was in Australia I had the incredible opportunity to go to Phillip Island, where a large colony of Blue Fairy Penguins live. At sunset you sit on the beach on the Summerland Pennisula and watch the penguins make their way home. They nest up to a mile inland and every night they return from the sea by the hundreds. It was extraordinary.

And they really are blue.

Magnificent Desolation

40 years ago today on July 20th, 1969, man set foot upon the moon. Let us not forget that we are capable of such great heights.

Union Oyster House

My apologies for the lack of posts/new work lately. Summer has been a little chaotic to say the least.

I'm teaching 3 courses this summer at the Art Institute of Boston. And I'm getting together my portfolio for grad school.

I took one of my classes to the Rose Kennedy Greenway, an urban greenspace nestled between the North End and Government Center/Haymarket. It is one of my favorite places in Boston.
