The Sketchbook Project
A sea of sketchbooks (including mine, top) at Laconia Gallery, Boston.The best part of the opening last night was that the work wasn't on the walls, it was in your hands.
The sketchbooks were scattered on tables and bookshelves. You were encouraged to dive in, grab books, turn pages, read, look. People crowded around the tables and in corners. Some grabbed stacks, others choose more carefully. Books were handed around, exchanged, shared.
You never knew what you would find between the covers.
